Tymo: App Blocker Privacy Policy

Effective Date: [Please fill in]Last Updated: [Please fill in]

Thank you for using Tymo: App Blocker ("Tymo" or "the App"). We know that a focus tool only works if it's built on trust, so this Privacy Policy explains, clearly and specifically, what information Tymo processes across its four core areas — Instant Block, Scheduled Block, Insights, and Settings — as well as the Blocking Screen, how that information is handled, and what control you have over it.

1. Our Core Principles

2. Information We Collect / Use

2.1 Instant Block & Scheduled Block (Home · Main Tab)

To power one-tap instant blocking and time-based automatic blocking, Tymo needs access to:

Data / PermissionPurposeWhere It's Stored
List of installed appsTo display apps you can choose to block, with their names and iconsRead locally only; never uploaded
Accessibility Service / Usage Access permissionTo detect when a targeted app is launched, so blocking can be triggeredEvaluated in real time on-device only; no raw activity log is retained
Device Administrator permission (optional, for "Strict Mode")To prevent the app from being force-closed or Tymo from being uninstalled during an active blockApplies locally only
Your blocking rules (schedules, blocklists, block duration)To execute blocking according to your configurationStored locally on your device

We do not record what you did inside an app, what content you viewed, or what you typed. We only check, when needed, whether an app is on your blocklist or within a scheduled blocking window.
